Derric met some other dads at Father/Sons campout that told him about a rocket launch coming up the following weekend. Derric and the boys went and bought their rockets and spent the week getting them ready. So yesterday we all went out into the middle of nowhere(which isn't to far from our house) to launch our first rockets! It was actually a lot of fun! There are a lot of people that really get into it and have these massive rockets that shoot up in the sky forever! We were not very hopeful for our newbie rockets. Our friends that have done it for years really showed Derric and the boys what they needed to do and it turned out that we had success! Our next trip is in July to the Salt Flats for the Hellfire where the elite launch the best rockets! Here are a few of our launches-they aren't very long...

Congrats on your run, bike, run! I walked around the block yesterday and about died. I'm TOTALLY out of shape! :o)
It's going to be so fun to hit up the next launch out at the salt flats :) It's fun to have friends to do it with :) I know the boys love it!!
