Happy 4th of July!!!

This 4th of July seemed to be a lot more low key then those of the past, and it was nice and relaxing. We started off the day like we have for the past 3 yrs down at the Freedom Run. Both sides of our family ran in the race this year and everybody from 2yrs on up participated. They had a 1 mile fun run for the kids and a 5k & 10k for those a little more daring. So this is how it went...

1mile- Derric, Claire, Daxton, Draedon, Jaxson, Miranda, Landen, Megan, Janel, Liam, Joe, Madison, McKynlie, Parker
(These kids sure are competitive and athletic! Even with starting off the wrong way the were able to rank pretty high in their catagories!)

5K-Dustin, Grandpa Dairrel, Grandma DeeDee, Hunter
(Dustin's & Hunter's first 5k, they did awsome!-Grandma & Grandpa decided they need to hit the gym tomorrow and try to knock 10 min. off their times-You can do it!)

10k-Cassie
(Just wanted to run without stopping and do it under 1 hr. I didn't stop running (even when the dog attacked the deer right next to me) and did it in 57min)

After the race we decided not to stay for the parade this year and went home and took naps. Doesn't happen very often that all 5 of us get to take a nap at the same time! Then we rode our bikes over to Derric's mom & John's house for a barb-b-que and some fun & games!

Then we rode on back home and ended the day with my Mom & dad and Barbs & Shawn doing fireworks! Fun times!

Happy 4th!

Wow... that was "low key"?? Your amazing! What a great family you have. I'm glad your loving life. Happy 4th! Next time you come to Cali, you should bring the kids over to swim and hang out.
