So I am finally getting to blogging everything that went on in April...So you'll have to scroll down through all the updates. Sorry! The biggest thing that happened was our spontanious trip to California for spring break! The day before we decided with my sister and her family that we wanted to get out of town for vacation. We looked and it was going to be too cold in St George so we packed up and left the next morning for California! It was crazy, unorganized and fly by the seat of your pants! The kids were cranky the whole time after the 13 hr trip, I kept looking at Derric and saying, We should have left the kids at home and gone on a cruise for what we are spending on this trip! Looking back on it three weeks later though it seems like it was a blast! You never really remember the bad do we??
Our first stop on the trip was to Vallejo,Ca to Six Flags amusment park! When we pulled up to the hotel at 10pm Derric parked in front and ran in to check us in. I heard a popping noise and thought...Was that gunfire? I asked Derric if he heard it and he said no. So we took the kids up to the room and then Derric ran back down to the car to get the luggage. Well he said that there was police all over the place and that they were saying that there was a gang shooting and a 19yr old boy died right on the corner of our hotel parking lot! Talk about not getting sleep that night. And guess what was on the front page of the newspaper the next morning?? We had fun at the park. I especially had fun because I had my neice Mckynlie that has the same no fear attitude and I actually got to go on a rollercoaster for the first time since I have been married.(Derric doesn't do rollercoasters and I hate going alone)Daxton really got into his whinning, complaining and crying here! Yeah!

you guys are cute and very brave parents, and you can see the kids loved it. they will remember the trip and all the fun parts! (isn't it funny how you forget the bad parts... this is why women keep having kids)
so are we ever going to get together? i'd really love to see you! maybe lunch one day? let me know ~
