Turning 30!!!

Okay so I turned 30 this month and I need to take a moment to comment on the big 3-0. They say that 50 is the new 30-well if that is true then I would dare to say that 30 is the new 50! Honestly, I have never felt more exhausted, crickety, sore, or like I am lossing my mind as I do now with a husband, 3 kids, a buisness, a church calling and trying to have a hobby! I know all my girlfriends out their are nodding their heads and saying "ahuh!" I see all those 50/30yr olds that have every hair in place, their nails done and are dressed to a "T". I think to myself, their kids are grown and gone, their husband has yet to retire and they have all the "me" time they could desire. Time to get a pedicure, money to buy a new outfit that doesn't get a snotty nose on it the second you put it on, time to actually take a shower and put on make-up(not driving in a car),all the time in the world to work-out and get looking better then us 30 yr olds that eat fruit snacks and fishies all day! I also love when this 50/30yr old passes you in the grocery store as all three of your kids are screaming and hanging out of the cart and looks at you with the stink eye, like she can't believe what hethens you have produced and that you even dare bring them out in public! Like she has had a total memory loss that her kids(way back when) ever acted the same way! Yeah I definitely feel like with all the aches and pains and exhaustions that 50yrs seems to be more like it! Ok so I had a little rant there for fun, but really I think that we would rather be where we are at now then later in life. I am definitely not looking forward to the bladder slings and the hot flashes that these 50/30yr olds have to deal with! No really I can say as I reflect on my past 30 years that I feel so happy and greatful for the life I have been blessed with TODAY! I have an amazing husband that supports me in everything that I want to do and makes my dreams and goals his own. I have 3 amazing kids that I thank Heavenly Father for every day because of the things that they are teaching me. For Daxton teaching me obedience, he never asks he just obeys, Draedon teaching me to have more spunk for life and be more carefree, and Claire for always smiling! She never stops! She walks around just smiling because she can. Heavenly Father has put in my husband and kids the qualities that I need to develop more of. I love that! 30 is good! I can say that it has really been this past year of struggles that I have grown the most. I have come to feel so strongly that it is more important to take in lifes daily moments then to just live through the moments of this life. I need to stop rushing to get everything done and just find "Joy in the Journey" as President Monson has said. He knows that us women really fret over just about everything and not enough on the joy of our kids and spouses. Those 50/30 yr olds will tells us that this time will pass and then we will have more
"me" time then we will prbably want. It is all about perspective and one thing I have learned about my life is that I am always looking back thinking how easy I had it then. So the future is just going to get harder or be filled with more worries and responsibilities, because today is filled with more then yesterday was. So just enjoy today knowing you will long for it tomorrow. I stumbled upon a quote by President Hinkley on our latest trip to St. George that I love. I hope that this will be my motto for my next 30 years! "In all of life have much fun & laughter. Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured!"

*Note* I really don't know anyone that is 50/30yr olds. I just hear all the hype in the tabloids :)
My moms are still such hard workers that devote more hours to work a week then I do, and have callings and hobbies and take care of grandkids too! They are amazing!
